With almost a decade of experience in marketing and public relations, Brenden Guy combines expert press and media relations with social media, digital, and traditional marketing techniques to promote individuals and organizations in the field of arts and culture.

With a lifelong passion for classical music, Brenden's path to becoming an arts marketer, publicist, professional clarinetist and presenter took him from Bournemouth to London, New York to San Francisco, and finally to Philadelphia.

After completing degrees at the Royal College of Music (London) and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Brenden served as a senior publicist under Karen Ames, founder of Karen Ames Communications, and quickly rose to the position of Account Executive during his four years with the firm. With an intimate knowledge of the classical music world, Brenden worked with the team on a wide variety of prestigious client accounts such as Philharmonia Baroque and Merola Opera Program; conductors Nicola Luisotti and Gerard Schwarz; and the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University.

As Director of Marketing & Communications with New Century Chamber Orchestra, one of the premiere chamber orchestras in the world, Brenden increased subscription sales by 8% in his first full season in addition to a 10% increase in single ticket sales, the highest number sold in a decade. Last season, he oversaw two consecutive record-breaking attendances in San Francisco.

In addition to running Brenden Guy Media's online marketing resource for musicians, he also represents numerous clients including New Century Chamber Orchestra, San Francisco Girls Chorus, Other Minds and Chanticleer.
